1. Netherland Companies MUST Discloses Executive Pay to Works Councils
(Bristol, UK) - The Cabinet of the Netherlands has approved Minister of Social Affairs and
Employment’s proposal to publish management salaries of companies with more than 50 employees.
Companies will be required to provide salary ratio of management to ordinary employees. This new law
will bring in transparency and help to reduce the salary imbalance among some companies, reports Nair

The government has observed that during the economic crisis, the salaries of some executives have
increased aggressively as compared to ordinary employees. The required reporting is part of an effort to
bring about balance by reducing excesses with the help of the work council.
