2. This is the opening shot to Beyoncé's music video. At first your not sure what
this music video will be about, but we can tell that she is in a hotel room or
suite getting ready. This shot has a lot of white in it, almost trying to like the
“purity” feel of this girls nature. Also this will appeal to a mass audience as this
is appealing to women as they will want to look like her and appeal to men for
her “sex” appeal.
3. This is the second shot of Beyoncé. I have chosen this as this is the first shot
of where we start to get an idea of what she is doing and where this music
video is going. We can see that she is putting a vale on. This can only mean
that she is getting ready for her wedding.
4. This shot shows us that she is fully in a wedding dress. This part of the song is
the chorus and always links back to this shot through out the video. This shot is
always a high angle shot, which present Beyoncé as being in charge and in
power. Its also like to a girls target audience as it’s the “perfect” wedding dress
and is almost princess lie.
5. This is another part to her chorus, continuously switching form shot to shot. This
is a more typical shot that you would see I a lot of music videos. This is to make
the song more direct to the viewer. Linking Beyoncé to her fans directly to make
it more intimate. As its is a wedding themed video she has gone for the intimate
theme looing into the camera lovingly like you would see in wedding photos and
albums.
6. This is the only part of the video where the look of it completely contrast to the
other shots. This has a home video to the song. This again is a typical thing that
y6ou would relate to weddings as people normally film the. As the lyrics talk about
Beyoncé's past wedding, this video just relates back to the fact that it didn't’t go to
plan. Also the quality of the video shows us that it was home made.
7. After the home video this is again what links us back to her video to show us she
is getting married again. As this is better quality it shows us that it is a better
“quality” wedding unlike the poor view we had of the other one. This is a typical
thing that we would see at a wedding. The bride walking down the isle is a fairy
tale that girls would relate to.
