1. Dear Fellow Members of District 12:
I would like to take a moment to recommend Maresa Thompson for a position on the
AAF District 12 Board.
I have known Maresa for several years, first meeting her as a tireless volunteer helping
to organize the Western Region conference hosted in Albuquerque, NM.
From that point on, Maresa had been bitten by the AAF bug, becoming an active mem-
ber and inspired leader of AAF New Mexico. She quickly joined the ranks of the local
club board and ultimately served as its president during a critical financial period for the
club.
Under her leadership, she was able to stabilize the finances of the club while re-engi-
neering its lead fundraising activities and promoting membership growth.
I know that she will bring that same tireless work ethic to the District level. Her dedica-
tion and enthusiasm for the AAF are inspiring and I think she would be a great asset to
the leadership of the District.
