you to write a description of a close friend or group of friends you have. Write the
description and include the points below.
• How long you’ve known the person/people and how you met
• Personal characteristics of your friend/friends
• What you have in common and why you think you are good friends
LEONOR BENÍTEZ
I have a close friend whose name is Ana. We met at school when we were ten years old.
She came to my school from another school. She was upset because she didn’t know
anyone. She sat beside me and I began to speak with her.
We have done everything together since we met. We studied at the same secondary
school, we went out with the same friends. However, when we studied at university we
studied different degrees, but we spent our free time together.
She was with me in the worst moment in my life, when my mum and my brother died. She
helped me then and I help her when she is depressed.
Ana is an optimistic and open-minded person and she is very smart too. She’s always very
kind with everybody. She’s charming and very talkative. She’s fond of animals, she’s
always saving lost cats and dogs. She’s a lovely person. We love looking after animals like
cats and dogs, she has six cats at home and I have a cat and a dog.
We like the same things. We like going to the cinema, we usually go to the cinema twice a
month. We enjoy painting oil pictures, every Friday we go to painting classes. We usually
share books or clothes.
In my personal opinion Ana is my family, she’s like the sister that I never had.
