New cases: 1,970 Deaths: 390 Neuroblastoma Cancer that arises in immature nerve cells and affects mostly infants and children New cases: 650 Carcinoma of Unknown Primary A case in which cancer cells are found in the body, but the place where the cells first started growing (the origin or primary site) cannot be determined. Melanoma A form of cancer that begins in melanocytes (cells that make the pigment melanin). It may begin in a mole (skin melanoma), but can also begin in other pigmented tissues, such as in the eye or in the intestines. New cases: 68,130 Deaths: 8,700
