In my 20+ years in the industry, I’ve seen the inefficiencies and it is quite alarming.
As a Product Manager building technology platforms in North America, I was exposed to multiple outsourcing vendors, and the
experience opened my eyes to inefficiencies, resource misalignment, assigned resource attrition, vendor switching resources to
maximize profitability (Assigned a Sr level Engineer, and months later they get changed with a much junior one)
As a Business Development & Technical Employee for LATAM Nearshore Services, I notice questionable business
practices and a lack of transparency with U.S. clients. These vendors overcharge U.S. clients and underpay their staff,
especially their engineers. In order to cut costs they do payroll schemes that take away benefits from the hired resources. It forces
underpaid people to take on more freelance work. The security risks can be high, especially for larger U.S. companies.
The problem that most Nearshore vendors have but are not willing to admit
● Effective resource alignment (The right person, doing the right things at the right time)
● Greater accuracy and velocity (The process can take 2-3 months for some Senior level roles)
