History StingRay has, since its original manufacture in 2002 , been based around a custom built 2U desktop/shelf mounted server.

Whilst some of the internal components and architecture have been improved we took the decision that in order to really move StingRay forward, a 1U appliance would be required - not forgetting all the customers that requested it too. Why did we upgrade the Hardware?

How to upgrade StingRay Hardware? It’s simple, just send us a complete back up of your existing set-up from the import/export menu, we will: Restore this to a new 1U StingRay server Ship it to you. All you will need to do is plug in the server and you will be ready to start using your new hardware. Once satisfied, just box your old server up and return it to Pro2col. It really is that easy so all you have to do now is get in touch!
