2. LAYOUT: The layout of this contents is very clear well laid out. This is key as this page gives the customer information based on what story is on what page. Also the use of the image helps make the page stand out. But the stories, especially the main story do not stand out, this is a great problem to the magazine. COLOURS/FONTS: The use of colours is at a low on this page. This is a disadvantage to the magazine as the information does not jump out of the page. This should also mean that the background should be a lot more faded out so that the information stands out. INFORMATION: Information that is shown from this contents is clear and easy to read, but lacks the feature of standing out. This is where the magazine will not stand out. This may not be the front cover but it could still make sure that the main/exclusive stories stand out from the page.
3. LAYOUT: The layout of this magazine contents is well constructed. This has half image, half information layout which is well constructed. The main masthead on the page can be seen clearly and will stand out to the customer the second the look at the page. The images being larger than the text will create and effect which stands out. The way the photo's have been taken is key as they need to stand out. FONTS/COLOURS: The fonts and colours used in this contents page are well used. The title especially stands out as it is larger than all other information on the page. The use of red, white and black together stands out. The way the information uses black should be quite boring, but when it is surrounded by the colour red and white it works well. INFORMATION: The information provided is clear and detailed. This is what they will want within the magazine. This information is quick and effective. The use of words which are different than we usually see in a magazine will be effective.
4. LAYOUT: The layout on this double page spread is very simple and effective. The way the image is used is effective. However, the space behind and around could have more of a use. Their could even be a bigger story. FONT/COLOUR: The colour used stands out straight away and is a lot different than what we usually see in a magazine. I would definitely take this on board. The font is very readable and clear to read. However, i would have used the bits of space around the image instead of leaving them blank. INFORMATION: The information provided is very simple which is great as there is nothing that confuses me. I would take the headline style and information just below on board.
5. LAYOUT: The layout of this page is very clever as the image brings the two pages together so that it looks like one. Also, the way the modern view of the musician next to when he was younger is very clever, I will take this on board. The layout is half image, half info. FONT/COLOUR: The font used is very suitable and effective to this story. It can easily be read and stands out on its white background. The main story cannot be read, this is what we need, we should only be able to read a story right up close. INFORMATION: The information is very detailed and a good story is given. The type of story is key, i will take this on board because e everyone will read a story about an old musician. This would be even better if it was a really famous musician like so.
6. LAYOUT: The layout of this double page spread is very effective as the whit background and the way it is set out brings the two pages together. The way they could get two different stories to come together as if the are on one page, I will take this effect on board. FONT/COLOUR: The font of this page is very effective and is a lot different than what we may usually see. Also, the colour is used cleverly as the words come out from the page due to the colour of the background. INFORMATION: The information is again in detail and well structured which is what their customers will want. The information cannot be read, that's what is supposed to happen.
