he was born on December 26th 1972 in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, UK
He is ranked number 40 in the 2008 telegraphs list of “ the 100 most powerful
people in British culture” he is a English film director, screenwriter,
occasional actor and BAFTA winner.
Shane is known for his frequent collaborations with various actors and film
crew members. Though he writes and directs all his work for many of his
work he splits the writing credits with another party, with the two
credited jointly as writers. Meadows works along side many of his family
as many of his films have been location managed by his brother-in-law
Richard Knight.
3. Ken Loach
• Ken Loach is a famous social realism director who is most
famous for his film Kes in 1970 this became number 7 in the
best British film of the 21st century which was published in
1999.
Ken was born on the 17th June 1936 which would make him 77 years old in
Nuneaton, Warwickshire, UK
He became a director in 1962 and is still working now with a new film coming
out this year (2013)
Loach is known for turning down a OBE in 1977 because he didn’t want to be
labeled the same as the other people who have received the award.

as I believe they are inspirational at what they
do and I think I can learn from researching
their work because they both do things
different so I think if I look into them then it
will give me more ideas on how to make my
film great.
