6. Copy Protection: A Careful Balance
• Limit Copying
– Create impediments to copying which make
copying a waste of time for most users.
• Emphasise Value
– Convey a sense of value to the product or
commodity which isn’t inherent to the format.
• Encourage Legal Use
– Make the customer feel good about
participation in a vital creative sphere.
