2. Brief & Concept
Ron Placone is a writer and Comedian in the Pittsburgh area, and has recently started a One-Man Show
called Madness in the Message. Madness in the Message focuses on media criticism and how it affects
Democracy. As part of Ron’s comedy, he speaks about Politics, the Media, Society, Culture and various
other topics in a satirical manner. We created a brand around his Comedy and Madness in the Message,
created a callout that showcased what Ron’s message is and what he talks about. We also used
illustration and iconography of the topic he mainly focuses on. We carried these concepts into his
Branding, Posters, Website and all promotional items.
