Brian Stelter is a media reporter for
the New York Times. Stelter covers
television and digital media and is a
lead contributor to the Media Decoder
blog. He joined the Times in 2007
as a Business Day reporter covering
media. While a student, he launched
the media industry blog CableNewser.
com in 2004. The blog was renamed
TVNewser.com and purchased by
Mediabistro.com later that year. Stelter
continued as editor through 2007. He
received a BA in mass communication
from Towson University (2007), where
he was editor the Towerlight student
newspaper for two years.
A book signing will be held prior
to the presentation where copies
of Stelter’s Top of the Morning,
about the morning television rivalry
between the “Today” show and
“Good Morning America,” will be
available for purchase.
