2. Audience Feedback
To make our film questionnaires for our
audience feedback i learnt how to use “Google
Docs Forms” Which was very easy,
convenient and free to use, it also supplied
you with a spreadsheet full of all of the
responses from the questionnaire, which i was
able to access in my Google Drive. I think this
was a great way of getting audience feedback
and didn’t take much time or effort. With this
being an electronic questionnaire, it was
easier to keep the feedback organised and
easy to be able to compare each answer,
rather than having to look through lots of
responses in paper form.
3. Script
To make our script we learnt how to
use a piece of software called “Celtx”
which is free to download. It allowed
us to type up our script in a way that
was easy to understand and was was
well organised. It was straight forward
to use and the final product looked
professional.
4. Social Networking
To advertise our questionnaires for
feedback, we used social networking
sites. This allowed us to share links to
anyone that we knew in order to get
responses on our film. This was a
really easy and effective way of getting
our audience feedback, so then we
were able to see what was successful
or unsuccessful and what we could
improve about our film. We could have
also used this to advertise our film if
we wanted to.
5. Google Blogger
We learnt how to use a website called
Google blogger, it was a really great way to
enable the other people in our group
access to things like: our script, storyboard
etc… It was really easy to work with and
very user friendly. This was really
convenient as without it we would have had
to email all the separate document to each
other, which would have been time
consuming. It was really helpful during the
production of our film & was also free to
use. It also helped us keep track of what
work we had done and what we then
needed to do.
6. Editing The Film
To edit all of our filming together we
learnt how to use a piece of software
called “Final Cut express” This
software was really useful for what we
were needing to do. It did take a while
to get use to as some aspects of it
were a bit complex & we’d never used
software like this before. I learnt how
to cut and edit footage together and
also add effects onto our film, such as:
Fades, audio transitions and how to
roll over the sound on to different shots
to make it sound more natural.
7. Camara
To film most of the shots for our opening scene, we
used the Panasonic HDC HS80 video camera. This
camera was small/compact also, really easy and
straightforward to use. It allowed us to film quickly,
accurately and in high definition.
For a few of our shots we used the Sony HD1000 video,
This camera was more complicated to use as it had a lot
more features and professional qualities. It was also
really big, expensive and less portable to use. Despite
this, if we had more time to get used to the camera, we
may have benefitted from it more.
We have learnt that the Panasonic HDC HS80 camera
was easier to use and helped us get our filming done
quicker and easier. Whereas i think if we did have a
bigger group we would have coped better with the Sony
HD1000
