  • 2. <ul><li>this historic event was organised to mark 10 years of diplomatic relations between the DPRK and the UK
  • 3. a squad of 14 players and 3 staff traveled to Pyongyang via Beijing for 5 days
  • 4. they played 2 matches against local women’s teams

  • 6. DAY 1: Arrival at Pyongyang Airport, DPRK<br />
  • 7. DAY 2: Training at April 25th Stadium with girls from Hope Youth Team<br />
  • 8. DAY 2: Welcome lunch hosted by DPRK Ministry of Sport at Sosan Hotel, Pyongyang. Also present was the British Ambassador.<br />
  • 9. DAY 2: 1st match vs April 25th FC at April 25thstadium – the Koreans won 6:2<br />
  • 10. DAY 2: Post-match BBQ with April 25th team at Sosan Hotel<br />
  • 11. DAY 3: Training with schoolchildren at <br />Rungra Middle School, Pyongyang<br />
  • 12. DAY 3: British Embassy reception on Boat No 1, Taedong <br />River, Pyongyang. Guests of honour included three members <br />from the 1966 World Cup Squad<br />
  • 13. DAY 3: Watching the first match on DPRK national TV in the Koryo Hotel, Pyongyang – broadcast nationwide to an audience of 24 million viewers<br />
  • 14. DAY 4: 2nd match vs. Galmaegi FC at April 25thstadium – the Koreans won 5:0<br />
  • 15. DAY 4: Farewell dinner at Kobangsan Guesthouse, Pyongyang, hosted by DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs<br />
