  • 3. Paul wrote that Christians must be separate!
  • 4. 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1
    [14]  Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?
  • 5. 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1
    [15] Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? [16] Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols?
  • 6. 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1
    For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said,
    “I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM
    AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.
  • 7. 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1
    [17] “Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE,” says the Lord.
    “AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN;
    And I will welcome you.
  • 8. 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1
    [18] “And I will be a father to you,
    And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,”
    Says the Lord Almighty.
  • 9. 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1
    [1] Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
  • 10. 1) God wants us to perfectholiness!
  • 11. 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1
    [15] Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? [16] Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols?
  • 12. 2) We must ask the question, “Does Christ have harmony with this?”
  • 13. Asking the Question this Summer
  • 14. I must ask it about what I am watching.
  • 15. I must ask it about how I am speaking.
  • 16. Let’s make it a life habit!
  • 17. We must develop self-control,
  • 18. which is a fruit of the Spirit.
  • 19. James 1:27
    [27] Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
