Chrysalis plc has been making a series of presentations to financial institutions
in The City, in the hope of convincing analysts to upgrade their forecasts for
the company.
The company’s music publishing division is currently enjoying significant chart
success, with Numis estimating that this part of the company is worth £180m
alone, or up to £220m to a bigger player. Based on its share price, the whole
of Chrysalis is presently worth only about £210m, which has led one financial
commentator to comment that “although [Chrysalis’ radio assets] have been in
the doldrums for some time, they have out-performed rivals and are well
placed to stage a recovery, should the UK advertising environment improve.”
