- 4. A competitive soccer environment designed to nurture younger players for the demands of college, pro, and professionally-amateur soccer without the typical cost and travel demands required by the soccer system in the USA. What is the Mpls City Futures Program?
- 5. Who Does Futures Serve? The top 50 Twin Cities-based soccer players, age 20 and under, with aspirations to continue playing beyond their teenage years at the highest levels. These players may have one or more of the following characteristics. 651 952 763 01 | They require an accelerated environment that will prepare them for collegiate soccer 02 | They desire a higher level of competition to augment their current club or high school environment 03 | They have aged out of the Olympic Development Program 04 | They can no longer afford or justify the cost to play high-level competitive youth soccer 05 | They can’t justify the time commitment to travel nationally for high-level competitive soccer 06 | They do not feel the traditional youth system offers them anything else to advance their development 07 | They are a late-bloomer and have been overlooked in the youth player identification process 08 | They are lost within the US Soccer system and need to regain traction 09 | They are talented young players who deserve a path into the Mpls City senior teams, but need time to develop

FIRST TEAM FUTURES SUPPLEMENTAL ACADEMY U21 & U19 PROFESSIONAL ▲ AMATEUR ▼ As of 2022 - USL 2 League rules dictate that a maximum of 10 players on each team's game day roster can be over 23 years old. FUTURES SUMMER SEASON APRIL-JULY ❏ U21 Summer Season team roster of 30-33 players ❏ U19 Summer Season team roster of 30-33 players ❏ Players are selected from Futures Winter Season + other Futures players in college who are returning to Twin Cities ❏ National Adult Amatuer League Competition (USSF D4) ❏ U21 = United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) - Premier Division ❏ U19 = United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) - Division 1 ❏ Approx. 10 games + Playoffs ❏ 4x UPSL Midwest West Conference Champions ❏ Team training on typically on Monday nights ❏ League matches typically on weekends ❏ Locations: ❏ Training: Eden Prairie & Minneapolis ❏ Home Stadium: Edor Nelson Field, Augsburg University (Minneapolis) ❏ UPSL Midwest-West Conference

- 15. Are All Players Are Required To Earn Their Place via Tryout? YES. ● MPLS City does not roster players without an in-person evaluation. ● Players who have been selected to the 2023 Winter Season will need to participate in the tryout process again for 2024* ● *Exception – Players who were also selected into the 2023 Summer Season UPSL roster may receive an automatic invite into the 2024 Winter Season.
