where I can use my multidisciplinary knowledge and proactive approach.
Experience
Intel: Silicon Validation Engineer November 2015 Present
Responsibilities:
● Validated SSD controllers, implemented on ARM Processor, using Python and C
● Created automated tests based off of functional specifications to maximize coverage for
pre & post silicon validation
● In a lab environment, performed PVT corner testing. (measured power fluctuations,
signal integrity, and essential functionality)
● Engaged ASIC bring up: SW/FW and ASIC test board assembly and preparation
● Developed tests for: I2C, SPI, GPIO, UART, Interrupt Controller and FIFO queues
● Used Mercurial to manage framework across multiple projects
● Implemented and maintained 3rd party software and licensing for various systems
● Wrote and updated comprehensive tests plans, progress reports and data logs
● Debugged SW/FW issues in the framework
● Entered and tracked sightings, bugs and issues through corporate resolution tools
● Collaborated with coworkers to determine solutions & mentored new hires
UBC: Materials Research for HighEnergy Density Supercapacitor (SC)
September 2014 April 2015
Goal: Develop a SC with an operating voltage larger than those commercially available.
Lead Research Engineer Responsibilities:
● Established long term goals, intermediate due dates and immediate tasks.
● Discussed: device theory, test data, milestones with the an international client.
● Delegated and established priorities to the team; based off of clients needs.
● Coordinated team meetings, time commitments and managed a budget.
Technical Experience: Dr. John Madden's Molecular Mechatronics Lab
● Researched, selected, ordered and tested the 10 most promising electrolytes.
● Characterized and ranked electrolytes using electrochemical analytical instruments.
● Identified 3 electrolytes that met/exceeded client’s requirements.
● Potentio/Galvanostatic testing used to measure energy/power density of the devices.
● Designed, standardized and documented experiment setups to compare results.
● Rapidly prototyped supercapacitors inside of the glove box.
● General lab etiquette, maintenance, safety, chemical and material handling.
● Used Excel and PowerPoint to analyze and display results
2. Photonics Fabrication: MachZehnder Interferometer (MZI) Spring 2014
Goal: Design, fabricate, and postfab verification of 10 MZI’s on a silicon wafer.
Technical Experience:
● Used Pyxis to design the layout of the devices.
● Devices Efield intensity, and efficiency index vs wavelength simulated with MODE.
● Verified the devices after each fabrication step by characterizing it with optical inputs
● Measured, analyzed and compared experimental data to simulations using Matlab.
● Fabrication techniques used: oxidation, photolithography, metal evaporation/lift off.
Management Fundamentals: TechnologyBased Product Marketing and Development
Spring 2014
Goal: Propose, design, manufacture, market and sell a hypothetical product.
Proposal: MReader, an accurate, fast, portable and cheap solution to labonchip analysis.
Project Responsibilities:
● Recognized the need for point of care diagnostic technology in developing countries.
● Drafted: device architecture, theoretical component choices and project risk plan.
● Delegated responsibilities, planned and ensured the timely completion of milestones.
● Delivered written proposal, progress reports and final report & presentation.
presentation.
