Shooting Script
Opening editing:
Classroom shot of students (INT. steady cam) with non-diegetic sound
o Jump-cut into a black screen with the credits on it and film title.
o Jump-cut back to the classroom as Charlette is left on her own
o Non-diegetic sound of the locker banging (INT. point of view shot)
o Mid-shot of her looking at it and her reaction to it.
Track as she runs towards the door
Non-diegetic sound of the door as she attempts to open it ( INT. close-up
and shot-reverse shot)
Rewind to the morning (INT. rewind edit)
Charlette (Coco) walking along the side of the school (INT. establishing/
long shot)
o An extreme close-up of mystery person from the back.
o Steady cam of the mystery person whilst they walk away (INT.
Steady cam and extreme close-up) – slow diegetic music playing
Charlette collides with the mystery person and a book is dropped (INT.
steady cam and slow motion whilst the book drops)
She stands over and looking down at the book (INT. Low angle shot)
Shot of Charlette picking up the book (INT. close-up and point of view
shot)
She picks up the book that was dropped by the mysterious person ( INT.
Match on action) - music changes to a dramatic song
She reads out a passage from the book – music changes again (INT. Mid-
shot)
