Sponsorship Package 	

I hope this finds you well and in the best of spirits! My name is Courtney
Brown and I am competing in the 2014 Miss West Coast Pageant on
March 30, 2014. I am writing to you in hopes of gaining your support as
my sponsor as I vie for this year’s title. Miss West Coast is an official
regional preliminary to Miss California USA. If I win the crown, I will
automatically become a finalist for Miss California USA!
In my sponsorship package, you will learn about me & the Miss West Coast
Pageant, as well as the benefits of your support as my sponsor. Please do

My Story	

I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD, however since I was
seven-years-old I knew I would call California my home one
day. I feel blessed to have had such amazing opportunities
placed before me that have gotten me to where I am today but I'm just getting started!

-  Graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park

with my Bachelor of Arts in Communications: Public Relations and my Certificate in African American Studies.

-  Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
- I am of mixed ethnicity: African American and Japanese.
My middle name, “Aki,” means “autumn” in Japanese (my birthday is in September!).

-  Currently a full-time print & commercial model signed with NTA Talent Agency in Los Angeles.
I’ve worked with Kay Jewelers, Samsung, ABC, E! Network, Mercedes-Benz (to name a few) in commercials and on-air promos. Recently, I
donned the cover of this year’s Official Catalog for international hair company Golden State Imports as their Featured Model – I frequently
shoot web tutorials, as well as catalog and packaging materials for Golden State Imports, reaching a worldwide audience.
-  After a few years in the entertainment public relations industry, I am now in the process of pursuing a career in sports broadcast
journalism. Sports, football and the NFL especially, are my passion! If awarded the title of Miss West Coast 2014, I will

receive scholarships that will assist me in attending a credible sports broadcast journalism program for my Masters degree.
-  I love dogs! I have two black Labradors, Toshi and Hana. By competing in Miss West Coast, I will be an Ambassador for
Operation Blankets of Love, an animal rescue service that provides care to homeless animals, as well as The Susan G. Komen
Foundation for Breast Cancer and the Make a Wish Foundation.
In January 2013, Miss USA Queen of the Universe 2013 Tara Rice (http://www.tararice.net/) teamed up with
friend and fashion designer Amanda Wasvary-Ransdell. They produced their first successful pageant together in
September 2013 called Miss North Hollywood (http://www.missnorthhollywood.com/), a preliminary pageant to
Miss California USA. Celebrity host Lorenzo Lamas hosted the red carpet pageant with 58 beautiful young teens
and women who graced the stage. The pageant was sold out two weeks prior to the pageant as the Hollywood
buzz got out! Ransdell and Rice also decided to incorporate two non-profit organizations into the pageant
evening by raising money for Operation Blankets of Love and Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness. We will
continue to dedicate our time and teach our contestants how to become involved with non profit organizations.
The Miss West Coast Pageant (http://misswestcoastpageant.com/) inspires & encourages young women and
teens to achieve their dreams, the opportunity earn scholarships, gain modeling experience, and become
philanthropists by helping others in their communities and networking with entertainment industry professionals.
By becoming my sponsor, you can help me achieve a successful pageant production by providing the best
opportunities for my experience. Sponsorships can be used as a tax write off.
The title holders make appearances throughout the year on the behalf of many charities, sponsors, and civic events.
If selected as Miss West Coast, the title holder would have the chance to advance on to Miss California USA®,
leading to Miss USA®.

Why me and Miss West Coast?	

I would love to partner with you as my pageant sponsor! In order to compete to the best of my ability, I have a
sponsorship goal of $2,000 to cover my entry fees, pageant day transportation & assistance, GLAM Squad,
wardrobe, coaching and personal training expenses, etc. By becoming an Official Sponsor, you alone cover my entry
fee and will gain great exposure for your company! Unfortunately, I am not financially able to cover nearly the amount
of my goal, but I absolutely can’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to help make my dreams come true.
I love animals, especially dogs. If given the opportunity to partner with the Miss United States Organization as a regional title
holder, I will be given the chance to join a movement that I believe in, support & trust and I will get the chance to make a difference
throughout my new home state and most importantly, throughout our country. The Miss West Coast Pageant would provide a larger
platform for me to establish my own non-profit organization to advocate for abused and homeless dogs.
Networking Opportunities with Modeling Agencies, Casting Directors, and other entertainment industry professionals - leading to
potential bookings and jobs & positioning myself to elevate my career! By competing in the Miss West Coast Pageant, I plan to
network and capitalize off the tools and exposure given, in hopes of signing with an agency in New York , Miami or overseas.
For my reigning year, I will represent Miss West Coast at local and national events, providing further exposure for your brand!

Facebook accounts. Listed on the following page are my sponsorship packages. We can customize a package of
greater value by providing a professional photo shoot to help your business using my services. I will continuously
update you along my pageant journey so that you can see your investment first hand!

Tickets are $35 before March 23rd and $40 after and at the door

I am confident that I can capture the Miss West Coast Crown, but I cannot do it without your
help! With deadlines approaching within DAYS, I am seeking your support in donations - of any
amount – that will help me with successfully following through with my new endeavor! If you do

My name is Courtney Brown and I am competing in the 2014 Miss West Coast Pageant on March 30, 2014. I am writing to you in hopes of gaining your support as my sponsor as I vie for this year’s title. Miss West Coast is an official regional preliminary to Miss California USA. If I win the crown, I will automatically become a finalist for Miss California USA!   • 2. My Story I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD, however since I was seven-years-old I knew I would call California my home one day. I feel blessed to have had such amazing opportunities placed before me that have gotten me to where I am today but I'm just getting started! -  Graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with my Bachelor of Arts in Communications: Public Relations and my Certificate in African American Studies. -  Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. - I am of mixed ethnicity: African American and Japanese. My middle name, “Aki,” means “autumn” in Japanese (my birthday is in September!). -  Currently a full-time print & commercial model signed with NTA Talent Agency in Los Angeles. I’ve worked with Kay Jewelers, Samsung, ABC, E! Network, Mercedes-Benz (to name a few) in commercials and on-air promos. Recently, I donned the cover of this year’s Official Catalog for international hair company Golden State Imports as their Featured Model – I frequently shoot web tutorials, as well as catalog and packaging materials for Golden State Imports, reaching a worldwide audience. -  After a few years in the entertainment public relations industry, I am now in the process of pursuing a career in sports broadcast journalism. Sports, football and the NFL especially, are my passion! If awarded the title of Miss West Coast 2014, I will receive scholarships that will assist me in attending a credible sports broadcast journalism program for my Masters degree. -  I love dogs! I have two black Labradors, Toshi and Hana. By competing in Miss West Coast, I will be an Ambassador for Operation Blankets of Love, an animal rescue service that provides care to homeless animals, as well as The Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer and the Make a Wish Foundation.
  • 3. In January 2013, Miss USA Queen of the Universe 2013 Tara Rice (http://www.tararice.net/) teamed up with friend and fashion designer Amanda Wasvary-Ransdell. They produced their first successful pageant together in September 2013 called Miss North Hollywood (http://www.missnorthhollywood.com/), a preliminary pageant to Miss California USA. Celebrity host Lorenzo Lamas hosted the red carpet pageant with 58 beautiful young teens and women who graced the stage. The pageant was sold out two weeks prior to the pageant as the Hollywood buzz got out! Ransdell and Rice also decided to incorporate two non-profit organizations into the pageant evening by raising money for Operation Blankets of Love and Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness. We will continue to dedicate our time and teach our contestants how to become involved with non profit organizations. The Miss West Coast Pageant (http://misswestcoastpageant.com/) inspires & encourages young women and teens to achieve their dreams, the opportunity earn scholarships, gain modeling experience, and become philanthropists by helping others in their communities and networking with entertainment industry professionals. By becoming my sponsor, you can help me achieve a successful pageant production by providing the best opportunities for my experience. Sponsorships can be used as a tax write off. The title holders make appearances throughout the year on the behalf of many charities, sponsors, and civic events.   • 4. Why me and Miss West Coast? I would love to partner with you as my pageant sponsor! In order to compete to the best of my ability, I have a sponsorship goal of $2,000 to cover my entry fees, pageant day transportation & assistance, GLAM Squad, wardrobe, coaching and personal training expenses, etc. By becoming an Official Sponsor, you alone cover my entry fee and will gain great exposure for your company! Unfortunately, I am not financially able to cover nearly the amount of my goal, but I absolutely can’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to help make my dreams come true. I love animals, especially dogs. If given the opportunity to partner with the Miss United States Organization as a regional title holder, I will be given the chance to join a movement that I believe in, support & trust and I will get the chance to make a difference throughout my new home state and most importantly, throughout our country. The Miss West Coast Pageant would provide a larger platform for me to establish my own non-profit organization to advocate for abused and homeless dogs. Networking Opportunities with Modeling Agencies, Casting Directors, and other entertainment industry professionals - leading to potential bookings and jobs & positioning myself to elevate my career! By competing in the Miss West Coast Pageant, I plan to network and capitalize off the tools and exposure given, in hopes of signing with an agency in New York , Miami or overseas. For my reigning year, I will represent Miss West Coast at local and national events, providing further exposure for your brand!
