Title: Documenting Weathering and Erosion
Subject: Secondary Earth and Space Science
Objective: Students will be able to identify an explain
examples of mechanical weathering, chemical
weathering, erosion, and deposition. Students will also
identify efforts to prevent weathering and erosion and
analyze the effectiveness of the identified method.

Lesson Overview
 Students watch The Magic School Bus Rocks and Rolls
 Complete a sugar cube lab to model weathering and
erosion processes
 Students digitally document examples of various forms
of weathering and erosion in their communities
 Present Power Point examples
 Upload images to a class blog
