4 Points of Personal Branding- this is the presentation I created for my New Media Class at West Texas A and M University. 4 points to remember to positively brand yourself on social media.
4. • Be Respectful-
Language, Posts/Tweets, Responses/Comments
• Be Professional-Separate personal life from career/student
life
• EXAMPLE- Really, no one cares what you had for lunch or when
you are going to the gym. The internship you had over the
summer at Channel 6? Yes, that’s something to care about.

5. • Grammar- proper punctuation, spelling, with full and complete
sentences
• Educational- Keep posts/tweets informational and related to
your career goals
• EXAMPLE- No the diff between rite and wrong words/language n
use em….. Nothing says “Uneducated and IDC” more than bad
grammar and pointless posts.

6. • Accountability- Take responsibility for what you post/tweet
• EXAMPLE- Do not delete posts or edit once have submitted them.
Create only positive attention to your page.

businesses related to your career interests
• Mention the Right People- Tweet/Post those
businesses related to your career interests
EXAMPLE- When tweeting, tag businesses with the “@”
symbol to create positive attention to your twitter account.
When Facebooking, share educational articles or
promotional ads from businesses you have liked.
