Gold futures for December delivery gained 1.2 percent
Silver futures for December delivery gained 2.4 percent
Copper futures capped the biggest gain in almost three weeks Gold rose the most in two months as the dollar headed for the biggest drop in almost a year, reviving the metal’s appeal as an alternative investment after prices touched a 2014 low. Silver jumped the most in 15 weeks. WTI for November delivery increased 60 cents to settle at $90.34 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Futures slipped to $88.18 on Oct. 2. Copper futures capped the biggest gain in almost three weeks on speculation that demand will improve amid signs of a strengthening economy in the U.S., the world’s second-biggest consumer of the metal.
