Creative tip FIMO „Sheep“

Rather than making just one, you may as well make a whole herd of sheep at a time. Using FIMO
soft, they are both quick and easy to create. The step-by-step instructions on the following pages
show you just how easy it is!

Material:

For 2 sheep: 1 pack each of FIMO soft in the colours white (0), flesh (43) and black (9), one black
or white leather thong, 1 wooden skewer, 1 wooden toothpick, 1 kitchen knife, 1 rubber roller or
bottle for rolling out the FIMO with and all-purpose glue. Use a glass plate, smooth tile or
transparent sleeve to work on. Before you begin, we recommend you cut each FIMO block into 1/2,
1/4, 1/8 and 2 x 1/16 pieces. This is how the quantities are given later in the instructions.
Step 1

Take one half block of white FIMO. You need one sixteenth for each of the ears. Cut off and mould
into shape using your fingers. Roll the rest into a ball and then form it into a pear shape for the
body.

Step 2

Now take one quarter of a block of flesh-coloured FIMO and roll it into a ball for the head of your
sheep. Then roll a one-sixteenth piece into a ball. You'll need three of these small balls for each
sheep.
Step 3

Form the large flesh-coloured ball into an oval shape and make a slight dent in the middle. Cut the
three small balls in half using the knife. Take 4 of these halved balls to make the feet with. Using
the skewer, make a hole in the middle of each of them for sticking the leather thong in later. For a
more hoof-like appearance use the point of the skewer to draw a line on each of them as shown.
The other two halves will be used for the ears.

Step 4

For the ears, form each of the left-over ball halves into an oval shape. Cover the rounded sides
with the prepared white-coloured ear pieces (see step 1). Attach the finished ears to the head and
smooth out the joins. Place the head on the body and, again, smooth out the joins.
Step 5

Your figure will look even nicer if you give it a sheepskin look. To do so, simply prick lots of small
holes all over the white FIMO bits using the toothpick. Now all's that missing is a cute face. Gently
make a nose using the wooden stick and then draw a vertical line underneath it - as shown. For
each of the eyes, press a tiny ball of black on top of a tiny ball of white. Using the skewer, make a
hole at shoulder height on each side of the body for attaching the arms. If you want to add a
hanger to your sheep, make a hole in the head as well. Cut the leather thong to the required
lengths for the arms, legs, and - if required - hanger. To attach the arms and legs to the body,
simply stick the pieces of leather in the waiting holes! (If you like, you can harden the sheep parts
in the oven first, before sticking the pieces of leather in the holes).

Step 6

   • Pre-heat your oven to 130° C and then place your finished FIMO sheep on a baking tray on
the middle shelf of your oven.

   • After 30 minutes, remove the hardened sheep from the oven and leave to cool at room
         temperature.
