Run water into the leachfield to make
sure there is not a break in the
delivery line, and at the same time
view the inside of the pipe with the
video camera.
Flowing water can be going into a hole.
Unless you can actually see where it is
moving, flow test can be
compromised.
You can see how many perforated
holes take the effluent.
Generally, effluent only drops through
the first few feet of perforated pipe.
When effluent flows to the end of the
field, and does not pond in the
pipe, there is not necessarily an issue
with the field. It may be that the holes
are partially plugged with buildup and
effluent moves down the line.
