Celebrating 5 Years of Leading the Mobile App Economy
How time flies! Five years ago, we launched App Annie with the belief that the rise of mobile apps would irreversibly change content distribution for the foreseeable future. By combining analytics and market data into a single platform for the emerging mobile space, we set out to completely disrupt how we measure and track information. To do that, we built a global business of more than 300 employees, spanning 11 global offices. Today, App Annie is the largest mobile app business platform used by everyone from major publishers to indie developers (over 400,000 professionals at more than 100,000 companies, to be exact). To celebrate our five year anniversary, we’re taking a trip down memory lane by celebrating major app store events along with some of App Annie’s company milestones. So what’s next? While mobile continues to grow at an explosive rate across the globe, the industry is still in its infancy. Mobile apps will become the remote control for emerging technology in the coming decades — from connected cars to wearables — and App Annie will be supporting that shift by continuing to evolve and build the tools and insights that app publishers, developers, brands and anyone else who touches the app industry, need to change the world.
