The document describes how to solve simultaneous equations using non-graphical methods. It involves numbering the equations, eliminating one of the unknowns by combining the equations, solving for the eliminated unknown, and then substituting back into one of the original equations to solve for the other unknown. Several examples are provided showing the steps of eliminating an unknown through addition or changing coefficients to match, then solving for the unknowns.
The document discusses how the filmmakers used and broke thriller conventions in their film. They used blonde victims and contrasting costumes for victims and killers to represent innocence and guilt. Identical guns were used by both killers to imply a connection. One killer's face was hidden while the other's identity was revealed to mislead viewers. Music and sounds were used to build tension. Conventions that were broken included using a younger killer rather than the typical 40-60 year old, setting scenes in a house and forest rather than a city, and varying lighting between scenes rather than changing times of day. The narrative kept viewers questioning by leaving motivations unclear and using a fast-paced plot with assassins to create mystery, violence and action
The preliminary task allowed the student and their group to learn how to use the filming equipment and editing software. It helped them work out an efficient process for dividing tasks and contributions evenly. Having completed some editing for the preliminary task, the student was able to help others in the group learn the editing software. Feedback on the final production was positive overall, though the student notes some aspects that could be improved like the timing of the filming. The process gave the student insight into the large amount of work that goes into a full film production.
