There are always pearls of wisdoms in his
lessons. One should not discount the fact the
humour that Ustaz brings in the lessons,
which play a big role to the enjoyment of
receiving knowledge.
Ever since I attended the class, I've grown in
my love for dua’s. Ustaz will teach dua’s that
are meaningful, close to your heart and
heighten the awareness of your neediness in
Allah. I've kept a list of daily dua’s he put up
in every lesson to read daily and remind my
relationship towards Allah."

The lessons may be over but the
knowledge given InsyaAllah
has made my perception towards
understanding the meaning of Islam
in a whole new level.
I am beginning to understand that "A
way of Life" is not just a mere
declaration. It is actually "life as we
live it and life as it should be lived".

To understand the term “AD-DEEN”
and it is incorrect to regard Islamic
religious knowledge as "ukhrawi"
while other knowledge as "dunyawi",
as though the religion of Islam has no
relevance to this worldly life.
The systematic approach by Ustaz
Zhulkeflee has made things more
meaningful in understanding how the
“Arkan Al IIman” and “Arkan Al
Islam” is co related.

The class module bears a title too
humble, "Beginners Course to Islam"-
Fardhu Ain in English. My perception
earlier was that this is just a revision of
what I have known.
Well I was wrong! This is so much more!
I thought i knew, and as the weeks
follows,
The understanding of the Arkan Al-
Islam is not just doctrines which we
should adhere, but a training program
(to assist us) in our life-journey

First and foremost I would like to thank
Ustaz for compiling such a systematic
and coherent course for me and
everyone else out there and I was
really impressed by the language and
content used in the class. It almost
seemed like an elementary level
module at an undergraduate course.

I started the class with the desire to
learn more about Islam and this
course has left me hungry to learn
more.
As a science student during my
tertiary education, I had a lot of faith in
empirical calculations and studies,
and somehow convinced myself that
Islamic scholars may have
misunderstood certain things. How
foolish and ignorant I had been, and I
am grateful to Allah I was given the
opportunity to correct this mind-set.

Through this class I realized Islamic
scholars have had been as
meticulous (if not more) as the
scientists of the world and like what
Ustaz had once mentioned in class
"Science is merely an observation of
things that occur in this world“. But the
(meanings or Reality to these) Signs of
Allah are never wrong, and they are
clear for all to see (and verify).

The class was awesome! I was not a
strong believer initially because of the
lack of knowledge. But after attending
my first class, it brought an impact to
my life. It made me realize how
beautiful Islam is and I am glad I was
born into the religion.
My prayers now become more
meaningful. I hope to bring my
understanding of Islam to another
level and to appreciate Islam even
more.

Just some take-aways from Ustaz's
lessons:
1)It never occurred to me how we can
make our solat more meaningful &
relevant to my life. Learning different
surahs & integrating it into our solah and
understanding what we are actually
reciting can make that much of a
difference.

2) Fardhu ‘Ain is a lifelong lesson
whereby we have to upgrade our
knowledge as we pass through the
different stages in life. What I learnt
10 years ago might not be as
relevant to a 21year old me now.

The 19 weeks of Fardu’Ain 2012 course
we embarked on has brought a better
insight to my understanding of the
Deen. Alhamdulilah.
I learnt that Fardu Ain is a not “Once a
Lifetime” course. It needs to be revisit,
refresh and strengthen often, to
understand new meaning as we
journey our life as Muslim.
The course has brought about a new
opening for me, as compare to 13yrs
ago when I started learning Islam.

Without pride and arrogance, today I
felt more encourage and confident
after the course, be it seeking
knowledge, understanding of the
deen , also less confuse, and how we
should be serious to verify a “claim or
statement in Islam” instead of blind
following as perception made by
people. Lastly, I learnt to remind
myself do not act smart when it comes
to the religion. Do what is obligatory
upon myself and seek help from
Allah(swt) in all affairs.

Ustaz Zhulkeflee Bin Haji Ismail classes
is an eye opener and very humbling
learning experience. Through his

Islam is all about. Why we are here in
this world for? Who created us? And
why we do all that we do all this time

Ustaz is a funny teacher. There will be
times you tear when you realize the
generosity and love of Allah who has
given you life day in and day out
even when you neglect His
