 As a consultant, I had to form a partnership and co-ordinate between EWS and Department of
labour (DoL) to secure funding, provide starter course in various disciplinary for the unskilled
labourer. Some of course programme were:

 The training provided on all Water Services rural projects. Within two years of my consulting
services, 600 unskilled labourers trained and skills transferred at costs to DoL of nearly R 3m.
 My Role: Co-ordinated and formed a partnership between EWS and Department of labour
(DoL) securing funding, providing starter courses in various disciplinary for the unskilled
labourer in rural areas.
Shelter Support Project: AFGHANISTAN: UNHCR: Nov 02-Jan 03: $ 2.5M
Provided coordinator role support to the neediest returnees and helping rebuilding their homes at their place
of origin by provision of essential, non-costly housing units to achieve a minimum standard of climatic
protection.

The work involved the laying of Reno mattresses and gabion boxes to protect and stabilize
