the nearby area and want to be sure that you are adequately prepared, read on for some things
you’ll want to pack for your holiday here in Denmark:
Fishing Rods & Other Equipment – Do you surf or fish? You’ll definitely want to bring your
surfboard, fishing rod, tackle box, and so on.
Clothing – Be sure to bring lots of layers, waterproof clothing, and if visiting in the winter,
gumboots for the farm (especially for the kids) and some local attractions such as the Alpaca
farm. Comfortable shoes are essential if you’re planning on exploring the area (especially the
Bibbulmun Track, of course). T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, track pants, a cover-up for the
beach, and so on.
Leisure – If you’re staying here at William Bay Country Cottages, we highly recommend
bringing a few good books to read by the fire. For down time we also offer plenty of board
games and DVDs for you to borrow.
Cameras – The photo opportunities here are priceless. If you’ve forgotten your camera you can
buy disposable ones but if at all possible, be sure to bring a good camera and a video camera
that can help you capture the great memories you’ll undoubtedly make here on holiday.
Your Vehicle – If you have (or can rent) a four wheel drive vehicle, you’re going to be in a better
position to explore the area. (Be prepared for a trip to the coin car wash!) If you don’t, be sure
that you don’t push things too far (and consider a roadside assistance plan!)
More Denmark Packing Tips:
Bring a medical kit with first aid items with you.
Don’t forget to include bug spray, sunscreen, fever medication, tummy medicine, and
allergy medicine.
Bring a backpack along with your luggage so you’ll have something small to pack for
day trips while you’re here.
Bring several types of footwear: Boots, walking shoes, sandals or flip flops, and
something dressy for evenings out.
Bring a small container of laundry soap. You may want to wash a few things out by hand
to line dry during your holiday.
Check the forecast before you leave for Denmark but pack for ‘just in case’. Don’t take it
for granted that the forecast may have sunny skies all week. Plan for rain or cooler
weather just in case.
