Choosing a Front Cover Color and Redesigning the Contents Page
1. The front cover
began without a
bottom white bar
and the colour of
the background
continued to
change throughout
production. From
blacks to browns, to
purples and reds,
the colour changed
significantly until I
decided on a....
2. Light blue! Blue
connotes calm
and peace as well
as being eye
catching due to
the relation to the
sea and the sky.
The white of the
writing also
compliments the
blue and creates a
bright, vivid page.
3. In terms of the
contents page, it
began by looking
like this...
Looking very
similar to my
research yet too
simple and
spaced out for the
edgy, cramped
look I was going
for. So attention
turned to my
second contents
page in my
research and
this...
4. Changed to this!
By moving the
images to the left
side and the
writing to the
right, my
contents page
now looked full
and edgy but
was tidy and
readable.
