Dakota johnson confirms filming dates of fifty shades darker

second installment, Fifty Shades Darker, is set to begin in the coming months. Read on to find out

According to El País, Fifty Shades Darker is due to start filming in the New Year
Following the enormous success of the Sam Taylor-Johnson-directed Fifty Shades of Grey,
based on E.L. James' bestselling erotic novel of the same name, fans the world over are awaiting
confirmation that work on the film's sequel, Fifty Shades Darker, has finally begun. While
actress Eloise Mumford, who plays Kate Kavanagh in the saga, declined to confirm when
filming commences during a recent interview with Glamour, Madrid's El País took the liberty of
revealing when we can expect shooting to start during an interview with Dakota Johnson.
According to the Spanish-language daily's
online edition, Fifty Shades Darker is due to
commence filming in the New Year. Set for
release on February 10, 2017, Fifty Shades
Darker has been described as "more of a
thriller than a romantic movie", with Johnson
and co-star Jamie Dornan both slated to reprise
their roles as Anastasia Steele and Christian
Grey, respectively. Singer Rita Ora has also
been rumoured to return as Mia Grey, despite
being critically panned for her performance in
the first film, while the role of Anastasia's new
boss Jack Hyde is still yet to be cast. However, rumours that Man of Steel star Henry Cavill is in
line to play the character persist, in addition to speculation that Charlize Theron is being
considered for the role of 'Mrs. Robinson' Elena Lincoln. The franchise's final instalment, Fifty
Shades Freed, is set to be released February 9, 2018, but following James' announcement that she
plans to rewrite the trilogy from Christian Grey's perspective, fans are wondering whether a
