SAMANTHA PELOSI has accumulated 15 years of legal and regulatory experience in payments,
banking compliance, and international business transactions. Pelosi joined the Federal Reserve
Board in 2009 as an attorney with the Consumer & Community Affairs Division and is currently
Manager of the Retail Payments Section of the Reserve Bank Operations and Payment Systems
Division. Previously, Samantha Pelosi designed and executed compliance policies, procedures,
and internal controls for Travelex Global Business Payments and served as the corporation's
liaison to the regulatory community. Prior to Travelex, Pelosi was Senior Counsel at the
Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) of the U.S. Department of the Treasury and an
associate at the law firm of Morrison & Foerster, LLP. Pelosi obtained her law degree from the
University of Virginia School of Law and her bachelor of arts degree in political science, magna
cum laude, from Duke University. She is admitted to practice law in Maryland and the District of
Columbia.
