Interpersonal skills, are very important and useful in our day to day lives, both at home and in office. It’s true that everyone of us have a fairly good idea of what they are and how important they are – but generally speaking, are not very much concerned about practicing them. We notice, when others are lacking. We don’t seriously remember to practice those very skills, which we wish that others practice.

9. Improve Communication skills Improving effective communication skills is very important, satisfying and fulfilling. Pay close attention to what you are saying and how you are saying. Clarity, commitment and character must be transparently visible. Knowledge, skills, maturity and wisdom should get reflected. Avoid thoughtless speech as people would not respect your words or opinions.
10. Be understanding and empathizing As a good team member, you must grow to become a good leader. Understanding and empathizing will help you a great deal. Become an effective mediator. Help in resolving the differences, if any. You would acquire respect, trust and admiration. Empathizing is putting yourself in someone else’s shoes and understanding how they feel. Be in touch with your own emotions but, more importantly, view situations and responses from the other person’s perspective.
11. Be appropriately assertive Assertiveness implies safeguarding your rights without in any way violating others’ rights. It also means being honest, fair and open about your motives and intentions.
