3. Characters~ Makoto Konno (Protagonist) – A teenage girl who discover that she have a power travel through time. She take the power for granted, therefore she keep travel through time back and forth. Didn’t she know she is in big trouble. Chiaki Mamiya – Best friend of Makota, but later on he reveal that he is from the future (which have the same power makoto have), came to save a precious the painting. Time ( Antagonist) – Time is what she have to fight against.
4. Plot~ The story start when Makoto went into a room where she accidently hit her self onto a mysterious item, that knock her unconscious. Then she back to normal. Later she almost got into an accidently where the train going to hit her, but then when it seen like she is going to die, the time stop, and nothing happen to her.
5. After finding out that she have power to travel back in time, she use her power for…well everything she want, but mostly the unnecessary thing, like avoid being late for class, to get perfect grades on tests, and awkward confession of love from her best friend Chiaki Mamiya. But the more she use the power, the closer she will find out that her power will bring her pain. As we know the butterfly effect, if you mess with one thing, the other thing will effect by it, so when she change her destiny, other people around take the place of her.
6. So when she have only few leap left, she try to make the right out of it, so she try to help her friend, but every time she help them, another thing happen and she have to continually fix until it right. When it seen like everything seem to look okay, she find out that the people(couple) she was helping is going to die(in her place when the first place where she was going to hit by the train). Then time stop, and Chiaki reveal that he is from the future, and he help the couple from the death, and there he use his last leap, and he disappear. After time been turn back, Makoto find out that she have only one leap left, so she use that last leap to tell Chiaki that she will protect the painting for future to see.
7. One of the theme in this movie is “Time wait for no one” (a quote that Chiaki sing in the movie) time past as the day go, and we cannot take it back like Makoto did in the story. So all we could do is enjoy our time we have and don’t waste it. Irony: when she have the power of leaping time, she thought she will be happy, but in the end it bring her pain. Flash back: well it kind of have flash back feeling to it, since it involve time travel backward. Theme/Special FX
