Located in Dodoma, the Capital City of Tanzania, College of Informatics and Virtual Education of the University of Dodoma started in 2007 with School of Informatics as an interim arrangement for setting up the College. It became a Campus College of the University in July 2008 with two Schools; School of Informatics (SoI) and School of Virtual Education (SoVE). SoI is responsible for delivering Information and Communication Technology (ICT) programs at all levels. SoVE is mandated to facilitate delivery of University programs using ICT technology in a virtual environment and to build capacity in virtual training, learning and delivery.
