She had a career as the first female Indian Police Service officer and held positions like the Director-General of the Bureau of Police Research and Development. Bedi is known for her work fighting corruption in India and was the Aam Aadmi Party's chief ministerial candidate for the 2015 Delhi Legislative Assembly election.
