It has a length between
70 and 120 cm and is
sometimes able to reach
153cm.
The body color varies
from dark red to light
red, red, orange, yellow
or gray. They have a
dark band through the
throat. In adults may
disappear.
Caracticas your poison
          Its venom contains cytotoxins
          resulting in tissue destruction,
               localized bleeding, painful
          swelling and extensive. It also
        contains neurotoxins that cause
              paralysis of the muscles of
               swallowing and breathing.
        Their tusks are modified to allow
         projecting the poison, they can
          spray venom up to 2.5 meters
           away and point to the highest
                         part of their prey.
Dwell
   Live in Africa. In northern Tanzania, Kenya,
 southeastern Ethiopia, and Somalia. It is found
             from sea level to 1200 m.
He lives in Savannah, where it is often found near
                     water areas.
What does it eat?




Come amphibians,
small mammals, birds,
eggs and other reptiles
like snakes
