3. Meet SUE the T-Rex at Chicago's Field Museum
The Field Museum in Chicago provides visitors with several entertaining, educational exhibits to
explore, though few are as immediately impressive as SUE the T.Rex, the centerpiece of the
Griffin Halls of Evolving Planet. The hall contains several fossils on display, including the giant
ground sloth, megatherium, and Lucy, a 3.2 million-year-old hominid. The fossils on display are
highlighted by the 40-foot long tyrannosaurus rex, affectionately called “SUE".
4. Meet SUE the T-Rex at Chicago's Field Museum
The tyrannosaurus fossil is impressive not just for its sheer size, but its astounding detail, for SUE
is approximately 90 percent intact, making her both the largest and most complete fossil of its kind
in the world. The fossil was updated as recently as 2018, providing museum patrons with the most
accurate depiction of the apex predator as understood by modern science.
