The council bought the site - which closed in 2006 - using a compulsory purchase order last year,
after winning a lenghty legal battle with its former owners.
Cllr Iris Johnston, leader of the council and cabinet member for tourism, said: "I'm delighted plans
for the site are progressing as scheduled to develop this exciting new amusement park.
"With a rich history and a bright future Dreamland is a fantastic prospect with the potential to bring
a massive boost to Tourism in the district and add to Thanet's attractiveness as a leisure, holiday and
retail destination for visitors.
"I'd urge residents and visitors who can't wait, to get a taste of the past, present and future of the
site at the free Dreamland Expo at the new Visitor and Learning Arcade."

Dreamland has been preserved and part refurbished with the support of grant funding from the UK
Department of Communities and Local Government SEA Change Fund.
The funding was awarded due to the site's historic status and unique heritage assets, such as the art
deco cinema and historic scenic railway.
The site has also received funding from the UK's National Lottery Heritage Fund and The Dreamland
Trust.
The contract will be advertised on the council's website, the South East Business Portal,
www.mytenders.org, various trade magazines and the Official Journal of the European Union.
The procurement process is open to tenders until 2pm on Friday, July 25.
