Technical information
This manual has been produced by a new technical information system. This new system is designed to deliver
technical information electronically through CD-ROM and in paper manuals. A coding system called ICE has been
developed to link the technical information to other product support functions, e.g. warranty.
Technical information is written to support the maintenance and servicing of the functions or systems of the customer's
machine. When a customer has a concern about a machine, it is usually because a function or system in the machine
is not working at all, not working efficiently, or not responding correctly to commands. When you refer to the technical
information in this manual to resolve the customer's concern, you will find all the information classified using the
new ICE coding, based on that machine's functions or systems. Once you have located the technical information for
that function or system, you will find all the mechanical, electrical or hydraulic devices, components, assemblies and
sub-assemblies for that function or system. You will also find all the types of information that have been written for
that function or system, the technical data (specifications), the functional data (how it works), the diagnostic data (fault
codes and troubleshooting) and the service data (remove, install adjust, etc.).
By integrating this new ICE coding into the technical information, you will be able to search for and retrieve the right
piece of technical information needed to resolve the customer's concern about the machine. This is made possible
by attaching 3 categories to each piece of technical information during the authoring process.
The first category is the location, the second category is the information type and the third category is the product:
• Location - is the component or function on the machine that the technical information is going to describe, e.g. Fuel
tank.
• Information type - is the technical information that has been written for a particular component or function on the
machine, e.g. Capacity would be a type of technical data describing the amount of fuel held by the fuel tank.
• Product - is the model for which the technical information is written.
Every piece of technical information will have those 3 categories attached to it. You will be able to use any combination
of those categories to find the right piece of technical information you need to resolve the customer's concern about
the machine.
This information could be:
• The description of how to remove the cylinder head
• A table of specifications for a hydraulic pump
• A fault code
• A troubleshooting table
• A special tool

How to use this manual
This manual is divided into sections. Each section is then divided into chapters. Contents pages are included at the
beginning of the manual, then inside every section and inside every Chapter. There is an alphabetic index at the end
of every chapter. Page number references are included for every piece of technical information listed in the chapter
contents or chapter index.
Each chapter is divided into four information types:
• Technical data (specifications) for all the mechanical, electrical or hydraulic devices, components and, assemblies.
• Functional data (how it works) for all the mechanical, electrical or hydraulic devices, components and assemblies.
• Diagnostic data (fault codes, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting) for all the mechanical, electrical or hydraulic
devices, components and assemblies.
• Service data (remove disassembly, assemble, install) for all the mechanical, electrical or hydraulic devices, com-
ponents and assemblies.
Sections
Sections are grouped according to the machine's main functions or systems. Each section is identified by a letter A,
B, C etc. The number of sections in the manual will depend on the type and function of the machine for which it is
written. Each section has a contents page listed in alphabetic/numeric order. This table illustrates which Sections
could be included in a manual for a particular product.

Disconnect the battery connections. See the “ Battery - Disconnect (55.302)”.

1. Loosen and remove the bolt (1) along with nut and
washer from the flywheel side profile support bracket
(2).

washers (1) from the engine front side support rein-
forcement (2).

4. Loosen and remove the five bolts along with nuts and
washers (1) from the engine front side support rein-
forcement (2).
5. Place the suitable holding device to hold the engine
and lift it from the profile and place it on leveled surface
area.

1. Place the suitable holding device to hold the engine and
lift it from the ground and place it in the combine.
2. Tighten the five bolts (1) along with nuts and washers
on the engine front side support reinforcement (2).

on the engine front side support reinforcement (2).

1. Remove the cotter pin (1) from the rod (2) to disconnect
the main drive lever (3).
2. Disconnect the spring (4) from the main drive lever (3)
and from the grain tank bottom bracket (5).

3. Loosen and remove the bolt (1) along with nut and
washer from the support (2) and from the conveyor (3).

4. Loosen and remove all the bolts (1) along with nuts and
washers from the both beugel (2) and remove both the
beugels from the guideway.

5. Loosen and remove the two bolts (1) along with nuts
and washers from the support (2) to remove the guide-

6. Remove the belt (1) from the pulley (2).

ers from the support (2).
8. Remove the support (2) from the flywheel housing (3).

9. Loosen the traction drive control bolt (1) to reduce the
belt tension and remove the belt (2) from the pulley (3).

10. Loosen and remove the two nuts (1) along with wash-
ers from the power take-off shaft (2).
11. Remove the pulley (3) from the power take-off shaft
(2).

12. Remove the slat key (1) from the power take-off shaft
(2).

13. Loosen and remove the twelve bolts (1) along with
washers from the housing (2).
14. Remove the housing (2) from the engine assembly (3).
15. Place the housing (1) at a suitable place.

16. Remove the bearing (1) from the housing (2) using the
universal bearing puller.
17. Remove the five stopsel (3) from the housing (2).

washers from the engine assembly (2).
19. Remove power take-off shaft sub-assembly (3) from
the engine assembly (2).

20. Loosen and remove the three nuts (1) and bolts from
the coupling (2).
21. Remove the power take-off shaft (3) from the coupling
(2).
22. Loosen and remove the three nuts (4) along with bolts
from the bottom disc assembly (5).

1. Tighten the three nuts (1) along with bolts on the bottom
disc assembly (5).
• Torque the bolts (1) with 210+/-10 N·m.
2. Install the power take-off shaft (3) on the coupling (2).
3. Tighten the three nuts (4) and bolts on the coupling (2).

4. Install the power take-off sub-assembly (1) on the en-
gine assembly (2).
5. Tighten the eight screws (3) along with washers on the
engine assembly (2).

6. Install the five stopsel (1) on the housing (2).
7. Install the bearing (3) on the housing (2) using tool
380200662 bearing press stake tool.

8. Place the housing assembly (1) on the engine assem-
bly.
9. Tighten the twelve bolts (2) along with washers on the
housing (1).

10. Install the slat key (1) on the power take-off shaft (2).
NOTE: The slat key edge should have more chamfer to
touch the power take-off shaft.

11. Install the pulley (1) on the power take-off shaft (2).
NOTE: Use suitable press machine to install the pulley (1)
on the power take-off shaft (2).

12. Tighten the nut (3) along with washer on the power
take-off shaft (2).
• Tighten the nut (3) to the torque 630.0 – 650.0 N·m
(5576.0 – 5753.0 lb in).

13. Tighten the nut (4) on the power take-off shaft (2).
• Tighten the nut (4) to the torque 480.0 – 500.0 N·m
(4248.4 – 4425.4 lb in).

14. Tighten the traction drive control bolt (1) to tight the
belt tension (2) on the pulley (3).

15. Install the support (2) on the housing assembly (3).
16. Tighten the two bolts (1) along with washers on the
support (2).

17. Tighten the two bolts (1) along with nuts and washers
on the support (2) and guide way (3).
18. Install the beugel and tighten all the bolts (4) along
with nuts and washers on the beugel (5).

19. Engage the spring (4) on the lever and grain tank bot-
tom bracket (5).
20. Install the cotter pin (1) on the rod (2) to connect the
main drive (3).

Never attempt to drain fluids or remove filters when the engine is running. Turn off the engine and
relieve all pressure from pressurized systems before servicing the machine.
Failure to comply could result in death or serious injury.

units or parts with suitable slings or hooks. Make sure the work area is clear of all bystanders.

1. Before removing the fuel tank from the vehicle, make
sure the tank is empty.
2. Lift the side door upward until it is locked in position.
3. Disconnect the fuel tubes (2) from the fuel tank (3).

fuel tank (3).

5. Lift the fuel tank (1) from the vehicle using a suitable
lifting device.
6. Make sure to place the fuel tank in clean surface.

7. Loosen and remove the two bolts (1) along with nuts
(2) from the two straps (3).
8. Remove the two straps (3) from the right-hand side
panel (4).

9. Loosen and remove the four bolts (1) along with wash-
ers and nuts from the shield (2).
10. Remove the shield (2) from the supports (3).

11. Disconnect the electrical harness from the tail lamp
(1).
12. Remove the tail lamp (1) from the support (2).

13. Loosen and remove the four bolts (1) and four wash-
ers from the two supports (2).

from the filler neck (2).
15. Remove the filler neck (2) from the fuel tank (3).

1. Install the two supports (2) on the right-hand side panel
and tighten the four bolts (1) along with washers.

3. Connect the electrical harness to the tail lamp (1).

4. Install the shield (2) on the supports (3) and tighten the
four bolts (1) along with nuts and washers.

5. Install the two strap (3) on the right-hand side panel (4)
and tighten the two bolts (1) and nuts (2).

6. Place the filler neck gasket (1) on the fuel tank (2).

7. Install the filler neck (2) on the fuel tank (3) and tighten
six bolts (1) along with washers.

8. Lift and position the fuel tank on the vehicle using a
suitable device.

9. Fasten the two straps (1) on the fuel tank using the bolts
