• In culture – no one there to call
• Atheism
• New Age
• Audience of One
• Neglect of the Church
• Full time ministry only valid profession

4. Work
• Work is not a result of the Fall; we are created to work –
Genesis 1:26-28
• Work is not a result of the fall but it makes it more
difficult – Genesis 3:17
• Work is more than a place to make money, to support
the church and missions; work is valid in itself.
• Ministerial calling is not higher than any other
profession such as business, medicine, law or carpentry.

5. Work
• Redemption extends to all of life
• Work in the New Heavens and New Earth –
Revelation 21:24-26
• We are called to glorify God in our work

6. Toward the Solution
• Regard people as subjects not objects – subsidiarity
• Uphold dignity and reinforce it
• Rule of law
• Private property & less regulation
• Local markets matter
• Never underestimate the potential of people
• Encourage economic freedom

7. What can we do?
• Watch your language
• Pray for professions
• Interview workers
• Commission workers
• Stress you can have a ministry through your
work – Romans 13:4
• Work leads to flourishing
