Edwin Palacios, an 18-year-old from El Salvador, built a wooden bed to grow vegetables and placed cardboard and sheets to prevent weeds. He waters the plants so they do not die and the plants are growing fast to soon be harvested. The Swiss chard is ready to be cut and donated to organizations helping people who need food. The garden provides fresh, healthy vegetables and is a way for students to help the community.
