Tablet Troubleshooting Avoid problems from the start: • Tablet power cord MUST stay plugged in • Tablet should be put to sleep at night (one touch of power button) Problem Solution “Wonky” touch setting, screen jumps around Recalibrate screen. Applications Menu> Settings > Repair & formatting > Touch Screen Calibration. Avoid touching screen while it calibrates. Card scanning errors Restart tablet. Press and hold the power button to turn off. Press once to turn on. Adjusted rewards are not refreshing in tablet Clear data. Applications Menu> Settings > Apps > SpotOn Rewards > Clear Data Wifi not configuring Confirm wifi is hooked up. Ethernet cable (provided) from wifi card should be connected to the merchant’s internet router. When router shows 3 blue lights, restart tablet to have it connect automatically. If connection issues persist, call SpotOn tech support.

- Tablet- Highly visible area, customer-facing Cards- unlimited loyalty cards, contact spoton to get more! Put up signage, window decals (more to come!) If merchant wants to set a minimum, they can do so (i.e. must spend $10 to earn a Spot)

Beta testing showed that if you can get merchant going and talking about SPotOn, it will lead to more business for the merchant, and more referral business for you! Use the Talking to Customers About SpotOn script card provided to give employees at the counter a talk track to follow. Remember, every new customer check in grows the business’s marketing reach. The most successful businesses talk to every customer about rewards.
- How do I know how many people have registered for my rewards? Easy! Just login to your HotSpot and select the Activity tab to view transactions. How do I create my loyalty reward offers? You can quickly add to or modify your loyalty program by simply logging into HotSpot and checking out the Settings menu. It just takes a few seconds to add new perks or adjust the number of check-ins necessary to obtain them. How do I send a deal to my existing customers? Login to HotSpot and click on Deals. Click on Create A Deal and then set the details for your offer along with the channels you’d like to use promote it (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, or mobile notification). How do I order more loyalty cards? Loyalty cards are free and unlimited! Just call 877-814-4102 or contact your local sales rep to order more. Do customers pay anything? No. The SpotOn mobile app and cards are free for customers to use as often as they’d like. What happens when a customer loses their loyalty card? When a card is lost, a customer can pick up a new card at any SpotOn business and scan it at that tablet to activate. When a new card is swiped, a customer receives an email asking them to verify the new card, and the previous card will become inactive. Can a customer use a card and the mobile app? Yes. A customer can use both a card and the mobile application interchangeably.
