The daughters who own a family business are struggling with how to handle their mother's salary now that she does very little work. Their mother drew a salary when she owned the business and still does as a retired employee, even though her workload has greatly decreased and she could finish her tasks in one day. Business expenses are rising and upgrades are needed, but paying the mother on top of the remaining payments for buying the business has become a financial burden. The daughters want to suggest reducing her hours without upsetting their mother, who says she would "go crazy" without the work.
