As Founder/Director at mobile app developer Base, Tom is building the capability and space to accelerate disruptive ideas to market. Tom's career in creative technology roles started 18 years ago, less than half a mile from Silicon Roundabout in London's now tech startup epicentre. Tom started Base in 2008 at the Arts University Bournemouth's incubation unit The Enterprise Pavilion, and his work since has been predominantly in the transport, finance, education and third sectors. In July (2015) Tom was awarded £100k by Innovate UK for a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Bournemouth University's Data Science Institute, to further develop Base's machine learning and big data analy..
