Technology Used
over The Winter
     Break
     Tejpal Klair
Playstation 3
• I played Playstation 3 over the break.
• Playstation is a gaming console
• The technology was used for amusement.
It was used to play video games as well as
  streaming and playing movies.
• Sony has just released its newest PS3
(super slim) and they have improved it a
lot especially the Blu ray drive which
cannot be easily damaged. The release of
the Playstation 4 is nearing as well
Fridge
• My fridge keeps my food cold
• The fridge was used to keep
  my food cold and prevent
  bacteria growth and it made
  ice which is pretty cool.
• Now that the newer fridges
  have basically tablets built
into them, it is going to
  continue to improve over the
  future. Maybe built in TV’s
  and Wi-Fi hotspot capability.
TV
• I wasted a lot of the winter break
  watching TV
• My TV was used to play PS3, watch
sports, and other shows on cable
• My TV is around 4-5 years old and
  in that span companies like
Samsung, LG, and Sony all released
  Smart TV’s that are Wifi
  connectable and you can download
apps and surf the web. It is a
matter of time that TV’s get 90
inches big and only half an inch
  thick.
Smart TV
• It was an LG Smart TV which was
my cousins. It is connected to Wi-
fi and you are able to stream
  videos and surf the web.
• This TV was used to watch movies
  because of its dynamic contrast
  ratio of 6,000,000:1 and high
  resolution
• This TV had many separate
  attachments you can buy like
  webcams and microphones which
I think are going to be built in
  attachments in the future.
Computer
• It was my Toshiba laptop
• My laptop was used to watch
  and download movies,
  download and play games and
  to stay connected with friends
• Because technology is always
  developing and computers are
  the main electronic everyone
has and uses, there is unlimited
  amount of features that a
computer will be able to do. I
think a computer will soon be
  3D
3D Gaming (Dual play)
• On an LG 3D TV I played Call of
Duty using the new dial play
  feature
• This option lets you play split
screen Call of Duty but when
you wear the 3D glasses your
screen turns as big as the whole
TV and you can’t see the other
  players screen
• This technology is going to
  improve over the future because
the game play turns a little
  slower and less smooth.
Cell phone
• My Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc cell
  phone on the Android platform
• This technology was used for making
  calls, text
  messaging, gaming, camera, fantasy
  sports and social networking
• The new Xperia was just released at
CES 2013 and I am hoping it is just as
good if not better than this phone
and Sony can improve in making the
  phone memory higher.
Camera
• It is a Canon EOS 60D DSLR
  camera
• This technology like most cameras
  was used to take picture.
• With a 1080p HD video
recording, built in auto focus, and
a ton of more feature built in, this
camera is great but with all those
features it is really bulky. It the
  future they can improve the
  camera by decreasing its size.
Floor Sander
• There were 4 separate floor
sanders I used over the winter
  break working in my elementary
  schools gym.
• The sanders were used to take
off the existing paint from the
gym floor as well as the
finish, and smooth out the whole
  floor.
• This machine was really time
consuming and tiring, so in the
future I hope that a company will
make a tractor type of sander
  that you can sit on.
Webcam
• Logitech 1080p HD Webcam
  with dual microphone
• This webcam was used to stream
an New Years event over the
  internet using Ustream
• This specific webcam did not
have a wide view and I hope that
  Logitech or another company
comes out with a wider lens for
a webcam so there can be a
  higher area covered by the
  webcam
