My Pets: A Dog Named Tana and Our Cats Paws, Tasha, and Ella
1.
2. Pets can be great companions and
friends, whether it’s a dog, cat or
reptile. I like my pets a lot and enjoy
being with them.
Today I’m going to tell you about my
pets.
3. My dog is the biggest of my pets, she is
also the nicest. Her name is Tana, she is
a German Shepard/Husky so she is
Quite large, about 3 .5ft tall when
standing and about 4 or 5 ft long and 2
ft wide. But don’t let her size scare you
as she is a very friendly dog but most
people get scared.
4. The German Shepard dog ( Deutscher
Schäferhund in German) originated in
Germany around 1800’s and was bred to
guard herds of sheep or work. They
we’re also very popular during World
War II but they suffered a pretty big
population decline. Today they are the
2nd most popular breed in the USA and
are very loyal.

7. We got Tana when she was still a puppy
from our cousins, who was not very
experienced with dogs and couldn’t
take good care of her. We have had
many dogs before so we took her. She
is 3 years old now and we haven’t had
many problems with her. (Except with
our cats) She is a great addition to our
family.
9. As for obedience Tana is a very well behaved
dog and does not do bad things like chew up
our stuff. She does however tend to chase the
cats but that’s a small complaint considering
that she’s a dog after all. She can also do many
commands that we taught her (the standard
things) like Sit, Stay, Come, Lay down etc. and
some others like: Speak and Shake a paw. She
can even catch things in her mouth like
popcorn or dog treats.

2. Cookies (Dog treats)
3. Going for walks
4. Playing with our cat Ella
5. Playing soccer in our backyard
6. Eating food
7. Being praised for good behaviour
8. Meeting other dogs
11.
12. We have a lot of cats, 3 to be exact they
are all quite different in their own way.
The first 2 cats we got we named Paws
and Tasha, they are brother and sister
and are 6 years old, and Ella is 2 years
old. All of our cats are outside cats which
means that they get more exercise than
other cats and sometimes they may
bring us “gifts”
13. Our cats don’t really get along sometimes,
Paws and Tasha don’t mind being near each
other and sniffing each other but that’s about
as close as they get. As for Ella, she tries to
play with Paws or Tasha but they don’t like her
and hiss when she gets too close. Tana also
tries to play with Paws and Tasha but they
REALLY don’t like her and will run away. But
Tana and Ella are buds, Ella will play with Tana
and they will cuddle sometimes. We think this
is because we got Ella when Tana was about 8
months old so they understand each others
body language

15. Paws was the cat I picked out from the
kittens our friends cat had. Paws is very
cute but can be annoying, for example
when he wants to go outside he will
meow very loudly until someone lets him
out, same thing when he wants food or
water. Paws spends most of his day
either outside or asleep on my bed.
17. Tahsa was the other cat that my family
picked, she is Paws’s brother and was the
runt of the litter of kittens (meaning she
was the smallest). She is also an outside
cat and likes to lay on hot surfaces like the
cable box or the heat vent or you.
Unfortunately since she’s an outside cat
and a cat’s natural instinct is to hunt,
sometimes she brings us home “gifts”
18.
19. Ella is a cat that my sister picked
from a litter of kittens that our friend’s
cat had. She is a tabby with nice
stripes and spots all over her. She is
also weirdly enough good buds with
the dog. Ella is also the biggest of
our cats and sometimes we just call
her stuff like XL or Big-o.

23. In conclusion I like my pets very much
and they’re all unique in their own way.
Thank’s for watching.
