Goa is a tropical paradise that lies on the west coast of India bathed
by the warm waters of the Arabian sea .The capital of Goa is Panaji
(Panjim).The main river in Goa are Baga , Mandovi , Sal , Talpona etc.
The climate during October to January is of winter and from
February to May is summer and June to September is of monsoon.
The temperature of Goa is 20 degreeOC to 35 degreeOC.

5. Agonda Beach
Agonda Beach is situated at the south of Goa. It is 37 kilometers from
Margao. It is dotted with palm trees on golden brown sands and the
shores are softly washed by the gentle waves of the sea. It is the ideal
gateway if you are looking for peace and silence.

6. Anjuna Beach
One of the most popular beaches of India. Anjuna beach is the ideal
beach to go swimming in the placid blue sea. Anjuna is famous for
evening beach parties.

The Baga beach of Goa is considered to be an extension of the
Calangute beach. It is considered as a beautiful beach in India. It is

11. Se Cathedral
The Se Cathedral of Goa is located in old Goa and was built in the
16th century under the Portuguese rule in India. The Se Cathedral of
Goa was declared to be the largest church in Asia. The entrance of
the church is ornately decorated and the walls of the church are
decorated with lovely paintings that are quite old.

12. Church of St. Augustine
St. Augustine church is a very popular tourist attraction and one of
the most spectacular monuments in Goa .It is located in old Goa. The
Saint Augustine church was considered to be one of the greatest of
three Augustinian churches. The tower of the church is the main
attraction.

13. St. Paul Church
The St. Paul Church is a ruined church that is a popular tourist
attraction in Goa. It was very famous educational institution in India
and was considered among the leading educational institutions and
was also credited to have set up the first printing press in Asia.

14. Church of St. Francis
The Church of St. Francis is located in Old Goa and has a stunning and
charming building. The Church of St. Francis is at the same complex in
which Se Cathedral is located . St. Francis Church of India has now
been turned into a museum . The Church has an interesting fact that

16. Bonderam Festival
The Bonderam festival of Goa is celebrated on the Divar Island . It has
a Colorful tableaux, carnival like atmosphere. It is celebrated on
Fourth Saturday of August every year There is elaborate feasting
during this festival and every house is decorated.

17. Feast of three kings
A very popular event in Goa is the Feast of Three Kings. It is located in
old Goa. It is celebrated every year in the month of January during the
holy Epiphany. This is a Christian festival that is celebrated with much
joy by the Hindus as well.

18. Zatra of Shantadurga
The Zatra of Shantadurga is usually taken out in the month of
December or January. It is dedicated to Goddess Shantadurga At
night, the chariots are beautifully decorated with colorful paper and
streamers bearing the idol of the Goddess take rounds of the nearby
areas and spread goodwill and cheer all around.

19. Shigmo Festival
The Shigmo festival is one of the most celebrated events in Goa and
is celebrated all through Goa in a grand manner. It is known as
Shigmotsav in Goa. It is similar to the festival known as Holi. It is
celebrated around March every year. People enjoy this festival by
playing with colored powder and water with friends and relatives.
