The chart chows bank branches per 100,000 adults in various countries around
the world. More bank branches indicate that people have greater access to
financial services. There are clearly large differences between countries. Most
bank branches are in Denmark, followed by the U.S. and Japan. In all these
countries there are more than 30 bank branches per 100,000 people. In
comparison, there are fewer than 10 bank branches per 100,000 people in Haiti
and Indonesia.
